This one-of-a kind stunner was wheel thrown and shaped into a stately form.  The fish graphic, an African Pompano, was drawn in a very exciting copper luster glaze. It is then fired to 1500F, removed from the kiln and placed in an airtight can with combustible material. The lack oxygen, plentiful carbon dioxide and smoke affect the glaze and color the unglazed areas a absorb the smoke which turns it a velvety black.

It's a wild and exciting process!
